The Harry Guntrip Psychotherapy Trust exists to promote the development of psychoanalytic psychotherapy in Yorkshire. Building on the work of Harry Guntrip in Leeds, we support trainees, researchers, and the public understanding of psychoanalysis.

Our Objectives

To advance education and training in the practice of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
To encourage general understanding of the principles of psychoanalytic treatment for emotional and psychological disturbance in children and adults.
To promote research in the field of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
To disseminate the useful results of such research for the public benefit.
To increase psychoanalytic thinking and therapy in Yorkshire through events and bursaries.

Collaboration & Community

To achieve our objectives, we aim to raise money to offer financial support for training and research. We actively collaborate with groups and organisations holding similar educational interests. We promote public understanding by holding teaching events, lectures, and conferences. We welcome links and partnerships with individuals and organisations working for people who are disadvantaged or demoralised through trauma, economic, or social deprivation.
